Željko Vujinović Heads Microsoft in Serbia

A Decade of Success

Željko Vujinović has over ten years’ experience in the area of information technology. He began his cereer in fine domestic companies like SAGA and MDS Informatics Engineering, where he was charged with defining strategies from a technological perspective.
Before Microsoft he was employed in IBM, where he began as a senior ISS consultant for the Adria region. After four years in IBM, he assumed the post of director general for Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania, within which he was responsible for market development and managing business in the said countries.

”Recognised as a very organised IT professional and business manager with over ten years of experience, Željko Vujinović is an excellent choice for this post,” says Takuya Hirano, Microsoft’s general manager for the multi-country region of central and eastern Europe.

Opportunity for Development

Hirano adds that Microsoft Serbia is a very important point on the European technological map and says that he is certain that Vujinović would continue the excellent work of his predecessors.

Andreas Hartl, the acting director general, began his career in Microsoft 16 years ago. Hartl is the executive director for the the multi-country region of central and eastern Europe, encompassing a total of 25 countries. Before joining Microsoft, he worked on software and hardware engineering in Germany and Australia. He studied in Munich and has a master’s degree in electrical engineering. After a transition period lasting four weeks, Hartl will resume his role of executive director.
