BELGRADE – Serbia is covered with medicinal plants. They are to be found everywhere. However, as there is no organized collection, much it goes to waste. In the spring the plants sprout and grow, and are gone by the autumn, and the time is right for all this to charge and for our country and its people to have both work and income from herbs.
CEREMOŠNJA – In the hamlet of Plavčevo, in the Braničevo Region (central Serbia), near the caves of Ceremošnja and Ravništarka, the seven-member Milošević family live the dream of most farmers in the former Yugoslavia. On a small part of their 50-hectare holding, they cultivate organic food: peppers, tomatoes, string beans, beans, onions, cucumbers and much else in the clean and untouched nature.
INĐIJA – The family goat farm with a dairy Select Milk in inđija, northern Serbia, is unique in Serbia and Europe because it markets one-hundred-per cent pure goats milk products regarded as “white gold” and is ready, if the state helps it, to export over 20 tons of top-quality goat cheese. The company’s owner and founder Milovan Bulatović told the House of Good News that the products on offer on the European market are a 40:60 mixture of goats’ and cow’s milk.
